On WKB analysis of higher order Painlevé equations with a large parameter

چکیده
We announce a generalization of the reduction theorem for 0parameter solutions of the traditional (i.e., second order) Painlevé equations with a large parameter to those of some higher order Painlevé equations, i.e., each member of the Painleve hierarchies (PJ) (J =I, II-1 and II-2) discussed in [KKNT]. Thus the scope of applicability of the reduction theorem ([KT1], [KT2]) has been substantially enlarged; only six equations were covered by our previous result, while the result reported here applies to infinitely many equations.

On the Stokes geometry of higher order Painlevé equations
We show several basic properties concerning the relation between the Stokes geometry (i.e., configuration of Stokes curves and turning points) of a higher order Painlevé equation with a large parameter and the Stokes geometry of (one of) the underlying Lax pair. The higherorder Painlevé equation with a large parameter to be considered in this paper is one of the members of PJ -hierarchy with J ...

متن کاملOn the turning point problem for instanton-type solutions of Painlevé equations
The turning point problems for instanton-type solutions of Painlevé equations with a large parameter are discussed. Generalizing the main result of [KT2] near a simple turning point, we report in this paper that Painlevé equations can be transformed to the second Painlevé equation and the most degenerate third Painlevé equation near a double turning point and near a simple pole, respectively. A...
متن کاملNumerical free vibration analysis of higher-order shear deformable beams resting on two-parameter elastic foundation
Free vibration analysis of higher-order shear deformation beam resting on one- and two-parameter elasticfoundation is studied using differential transform method (DTM) as a part of a calculation procedure. First, the governing differential equations of beam are derived in a general form considering the shear-freeboundary conditions (zero shear stress conditions at the top and bottom of a beam). ...
متن کاملExact WKB analysis of second-order non-homogeneous linear ordinary differential equations
In this paper we consider the exact WKB analysis of a second-order non-homogeneous linear ordinary differential equation with a large parameter. We give a geometric criterion which guarantees the Borel summability of formal solutions of a non-homogeneous equation; this criterion is described in terms of exact steepest descent paths introduced in [AKT2]. An example related to the BNR equation ([...
